I was completely shocked last night to find myself accepting the Aston Webb Award for Outstanding Early-Career Academic.
I have to thank all my wonderful colleagues at IRiS and the Department for Sociology, Social Policy and Criminology for their support, advice and guidance.
I think perhaps my greatest achievement was managing to get the very delicate award home without breaking it.
